Yandell Limousin began in 1980 with the purchase of three purebred Limousin
cows. Wade and Stella Yandell invested in the Limousin cattle business to raise show calves for their son Mike and daughter Shannon. Their desire was for their children to have show calf projects that would provide good experience and teach them life skills away from the common day practices of television. Ranch kids and good
cattle seemed to be a good fit to develop young children into responsible adults.
Today the Yandell Limousin herd has grown to over 170 females as well as a large selection of quality bulls. Yandell Limousin strives to produce, through selective breeding, genetically superior cattle that the commercial rancher can depend on for market calves that will economically provide maximum profit on a consistent basis. Our Limousin cattle excel in low birth weight, high weaning and yearling weights, along with maternal efficiency, calf vigor, service capacity, longevity and the polled gene. |
